HAE Returns From Mt Hancock Ascent.
Lincoln, NH - Bruce McAnus and Timur Novasch were the entire Half Ass Expedition Team this year as they headed north for the White Mountains of New Hampshire to the twin summits of Mt Hancock. The two man expedition had planned to knock off the two long ignored 4000 foot Hancock peaks but bagged only the tree covered South Peak due to age induced aches and pains. The extreme low temperatures, frequent dangerous river crossings and equipment malfunctions made this one heckuva an adventure. Read the whole story HERE.

Half Ass Expeditions is widely known for the near fatal events on Mount Bigelow, Maine in 1988, chronicled in the online adventure classic, Into Big Maine. HAE is responsible for countless acres of deforestation in northern New England during their well publicized annual winter backpacking expeditions.
