January 3, 2003 - This year's swapped out items. (This happens every year... After a trip, some gear is eliminated because it broke, didn't work right or was determined to be unnecessary. This year the kitbag will be modified: ELIMINATED: Leatherman Micra (the scissors suck...see ya...) CMG flashlight (too heavy for kitbag) Candle (the last of the wax) ADDED: Small folding knife (P.E.C.K - 1 oz/ 2" super sharp blade) Lightweight folding scissors Micro LED light (size of a quarter!) 2003-4 added items: I've eliminated my sheath knife and I also changed the perfectly fine Sven saw blade for a new one to avoid JB's whining about the dull blade. I added a 56 inches long, half inch layer of blue closed cell foam (to complete the "JB recommended daily allowance of foam-air-foam"). Another new item, a 850 ml titanium, water only cook pot was added and the stainless steel vacuum bottle eliminated.
